 Anthotypes , November 2023.

Ecological printing methods using various natural materials, to explore the intricate interplay between botanical pigments and the photographic process.

Using natural pigment found in spinach leaves to create prints. The chlorophyll in the leaves reacts in sunlight to create etherial images with found materials. They offer an organic approach to photography, allowing to explore the relationship between light, nature and imagery.

Prints using vibrant hues from beetroot and shadows of trees. The depth of colour and texture achievable through this method is as varied as the beetroot itself, allowing for vast experimentation.

Tumeric anthotypes yeilded images imbued with warm and earthy tones. Here I explored layering of leaves and seeds, as well as the subtle variations in colour intensity achieved through different concentrations and application techniques.
